Tami Wetmore

Who I am:

I am a mother of 6 through both birth and adoption.  I currently have a house full of teens and preteens.  Yes, it’s loud and they are always hungry, but I am loving this season of parenting!   I am a full-time college student majoring in Social Work.  I love reading, podcasts are almost always playing on my phone, and documentaries make my heart sing.  Yes, I’m a nerd!

What I do:
I serve as the LittleSoma Director.  LittleSoma serves kids from babies through preschool. I strive to create an atmosphere where all kids feel safe and excited to participate as they learn more about Jesus. I enjoy partnering with parents to encourage their children as they grow in their faith.
What I’ve done:
I have had the pleasure of staying home with my kids for the past twenty years.  I have homeschooled some of them during different seasons of life.  My family moved from Florida to Tyler six years ago and my prayer at that time was to get plugged into a church quickly.  Soma welcomed us with open arms and we connected to the community right away.  I have served in LittleSoma since completing Physiology and I absolutely love the littles!
