Stevan Parra
Who I am:
I am a pursuer of Jesus, a sinner saved by grace, and a child of God. I was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where most of my family resides. I am the oldest of 3 and the proud Tio to my niece Sophia and my nephew Julian.
I am a big-time sports fan, especially of my DFW teams (Cowboys, Mavericks, Rangers, and Stars). Also can’t forget the Longhorns, hook ‘em! 
I also have coached high school sports at a few schools (mainly basketball and football), and I love the opportunity sports provide to help shape, mold, and impact a young person’s life & future.

I serve as the Worship Pastor here at Soma Church. I oversee worship for our Weekend Services and our Next Gen Ministries. I also lead the amazing group of men and women who serve faithfully, week in and week out, in various roles regarding Soma Worship.
What I’ve done:
I have led worship and been involved in church ministry for almost 20 years, serving in youth and young adult ministries, houses of prayer, and worship at various churches. I’ve traveled to several places both within the US and internationally. I moved to Tyler and joined Soma in January of 2024, and I love what the Lord is doing and will continue to do in East Texas!
